What is the difference between solar panels and solar roofing shingles?
Solar panels mount on top of your existing roof. Solar roofing shingles are installed as part of the roof itself, so they sit lower and blend in more. We'll go through both options for your house and explain the tradeoffs.
Does my roof need to be replaced before solar goes on?
Not always. If your roof has plenty of life left, we can plan the solar around it. If it's near the end of its life, it usually makes more sense to replace it first or do both together, so you don't have to remove the solar later to reroof.
How much will solar lower my energy bill?
It depends on which way your roof faces, its pitch, shade from trees and nearby buildings, and how much electricity your household uses. We look at those details for your home before we give you a quote, instead of quoting a general number.
